Sedona Safety Tips

Sedona is a desert climate with an array of wildlife and nature splendor.

  • Always hike with a partner or group. Never venture alone off public trails.

  • Use a walking stick to alert local snakes, scorpions and wildlife of your presence.

  • Where long pants and hiking boots to protect your legs.

  • Arrive to trailheads early in the morning to avoid crowds and full parking lots.
  • Javalinas are rare and usually non-agressive but be on the lookout not to startle or corner them.
  • Always carry a charged cell phone in case of emergency.

The retreat and all facilitating parties are not responsible for your safety around Sedona.
Be alert and use caution as you travel and adventure at your own risk.
